From appearing on a TV Series through to being supported to study at University, our team share their experiences of working at Loveday:
At Loveday, we believe in supporting our staff, rewarding them for hard work and encouraging them to be the best they can be. We heavily invest in our colleagues, arming them with the very best training, tools and opportunities to progress their careers, enabling them to grow with us whilst ensuring they are happy and fulfilled in their role.
We are proud to be a London Living Wage employer, Investors in People and providing further study and apprenticeship opportunities through the University of West London, amongst numerous other benefits!
The happiness of our team is of the highest importance to us and we work very hard to achieve this and is evidenced not only through our industry-leading staff retention rate of 70% no less, but also the feedback we receive. This is what our colleagues say about working at Loveday:
“I have had so many wonderful opportunities since joining Loveday in 2016. The team provide the best training to deliver the highest quality of care and to help progress your career.
My greatest achievement at Loveday was winning a Care Home Professional Care Heroes Award, which recognised people in the care industry who excelled in their efforts throughout the pandemic.
There are no limits at Loveday and I am so proud to be part of the family, it’s a dream come true.”
“Working at Loveday is so different to other care homes, it’s a family environment where everyone is supported to achieve the very best in their careers. Working in care hospitality is hugely rewarding and has opened up so many opportunities for me. Being selected to work on the Channel 4 series The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes was definitely a career highlight for me and a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Delivering a 5* service to our Members is a privilege and an honour to make such a difference to their lives when they most need it.”
“The opportunities to learn and progress at Loveday are incredible and everyone is supported to reach their best potential. Loveday is currently sponsoring my apprenticeship to become a nurse, which is what I have always wanted to do and I couldn’t do I without the support of Loveday.
I love helping and caring for people and every day is a privilege. I’m so proud to work with such a great team.”
“To me, Loveday means family. It is wonderful to work with so many amazing people; every day is joyful and going to work is never a chore because it never feels like work.
Winning an Above and Beyond Award for delivering an innovative programme of activities throughout the pandemic was a highlight for me. We were not able to have any of our regular performers or entertainers so I had to be very creative with the curriculum. I won a night away in a 5* hotel which was fantastic. It is wonderful to be appreciated and rewarded, it’s unlike any other care home I have ever worked in.”
“After joining Loveday as a receptionist and F&B assistant in 2017, I have been supported to study Hospitality Management at University of West London which has developed my knowledge and passion for hospitality and events and also enables me to make a greater impact on the lives of our Members.
I am so fortunate to work with so many wonderful people at Loveday; I love the calm, friendly atmosphere and the collaborative, supportive culture.
Loveday offers a secure and stable work environment. For me personally, Loveday has set me up for success with my career and I am eternally grateful for all of the opportunities.”
