Fashionista February

Our dedicated followers of fashion were delighted to celebrate fashion this February with an exclusive Extraordinary Day excursion to the Fashion and Textile Museum. 

Loveday Members boarded a private coach and enjoyed a trendy tour through the streets of London by Loveday’s tour guide, who educated us on the famous fashionista landmarks and points of interest along the way. 

The Fashion and Textile Museum is the brainchild of iconic British designer Dame Zandra Rhodes, dubbed the Princess of Punk, and is home to many avante-garde exhibitions, celebrating creativity, pattern and fashion. Our Members were honoured to see the very colourful Kaffe Fassett “The Power of Pattern” exhibition.

Fassett is one of the most successful designers working in contemporary craft today encompassing a range of techniques including knitting, needlepoint, mosaic, quilting, textile design, painting and drawing. This vibrant exhibition was full of powerful pattern and colour and was adored by our Members who were taken by the skill and creativity
