Easter Chicks

At Loveday Abbey Road, Easter not only brought fresh blooms and chocolate, but also a delightful flock of new life. We were thrilled to receive 10 living eggs nurtured in our incubator, from which 9 beautiful, fluffy chickens have emerged and quickly become the heart and soul of our home.

The arrival of these little birds has sparked endless joy among our Members. Their gentle peeping and soft down evoke cherished childhood memories. Members love holding the chicks, their faces lighting up as they marvel at the playful energy of these feathered friends.

We also held a special naming ceremony to welcome the chicks into the Loveday family with each given a special name. We are thrilled to welcome Chuck the Chick, Harry (H), Bantum, Nelson, Paddy, Etta, Meghan, Juno and Pearl to the Loveday Abbey Road family.

The chicks offer more than playful charm. They inspire conversation and connection among our Members. Caring for and admiring these gentle creatures has created a warm, communal atmosphere, where stories of past Easter celebrations and personal anecdotes are shared with delight. The simple act of holding a chick bridges generations, starts conversations and brings us together in shared happiness.

At Loveday, we celebrate life in every form and the simple pleasures that remind us of the beauty of nature and our love for animals.
