We had a bonnie time about the life and poetry of Robert Burns with an actioned-packed afternoon of traditional Scottish fun.
Friends and family joined our residents and team members at Chelsea Court Place as we enjoyed a delicious Scottish feast prepared by our culinary master chefs with highlights including Scotch Broth, Beetroot Glazed Smoked Salmon and Traditional Haggis & Whiskey Sauce served with Traditional Neeps & Tatties. The menu was a huge hit – compliments to the chefs!
Piper Dixie Ingram serenaded us with the bagpipes and we all enjoyed a wee dram of whisky after he addressed the haggis.
Family member Gordon Morrison shared a story about Robert Burns which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Sarah-Jane Bailes sang a beautiful Burns song and we were also entertained by fantastic Highland dancers who all got us in the mood for dancing!
Thank you to all of our friends and family who attended, making this such a special event for everyone. A huge thank you goes to Gordon Morrison who organised this celebration, we really appreciate your effort and expertise and making this such a success.
